Brain Typology - what is it?
The simplest explanation is that Brain Typology is The Science of Human Motivation™.
Life is a game; all its players are endowed with certain characteristics which make them "human". However, all humans play the game for different reasons, with different pursuits, placing value and meaning on different prizes. All have a different definition of what it means to win at the game of life.
But "all" can be succinctly broken up into 16 incredibly accurate categories, based on four quadrants.
Everybody is on a sliding scale in each quadrant, with Nature (how you're born) and Nurture (influences over time) playing a role.
The goal is to strengthen the areas you are naturally weak in, and maximize the areas you're naturally strong in. To become balanced in each quadrant, and ultimately able to understand on a relational level, every person you come in contact with.
To be balanced within your own self - which, while challenging and a life-long process, it's truly an evolutionary motivation.
Here's a very succinct overview:
E / I (Extraverted / Introverted): where a person draws their energy from (E's from other people, I's from time alone in their mind)
S / N (Sensate / iNtuitive): how a person sees the world (S's in the details, N's big-picture)
T / F (Thinker / Feeler): what a person bases decisions on (T's on facts and logic, F's on people and emotions)
P / J (Perceiver / Judger): how a person structures their life (P's adaptable and fun-oriented, J's controlled and work-oriented)

Some call these personality types, personality profiles, or brain types. We use brain typology, because it is from within the "brain" (the thinking human mind) that choices, personalities, and physical attributes are birthed and controlled.
Brain Typology was created to examine, analyze, and understand the root causes of human motivation, and to do so in a way that the casual reader can enjoy and learn from.
Yes, it's pop psychology. But despite the complexity of the human psyche, at the most basic level, humans are actually very simple and quite similar. Whether they want to be labeled as such or not.
So rather than make the barrier to entry so high that only the most passionate of psychology students can enter, our goal here is to make this life-changing information and these simple tools available to a broad audience.
Even a child can understand these simple quadrants and their related motivations. Indeed - more children should be taught these principles!
When you know someone's deepest motives, you know everything you need to know about their character, and by extension, their values, interests, and probable actions.
Knowledge of this kind truly is powerful and can be incredibly useful, in every walk of life. Knowledge of this kind in relation to yourself, even as simply as understanding where you draw your energy, how you see the world, why you make decisions, and the manner in which you structure your time...it will change your life for the better immediately.
So whether you're in this game to divide and conquer, to reach the needy, or to score the most toys, Brain Typology will give you the ability to quickly understand everyone that you come in contact with on such a deep level that you will be able to communicate with them in the exact manner that they will understand.
Learn, grow, change, evolve. Brain Typology is The Science of Human Motivation™.
"Anyone who wants to know the human psyche will learn next to nothing from experimental psychology. He would be better advised to abandon exact science, put away his scholar's gown, bid farewell to his study, and wander with human heart throught the world.
There in the horrors of prisons, lunatic asylums and hospitals, in drab suburban pubs, in brothels and gambling-hells, in the salons of the elegant, the Stock Exchanges, socialist meetings, churches, revivalist gatherings and ecstatic sects, through love and hate, through the experience of passion in every form in his own body, he would reap richer stores of knowledge than text-books a foot thick could give him, and he will know how to doctor the sick with a real knowledge of the human soul."
-- Carl Jung
