Brad Pitt escaped boredom by adopting a village and living for principles - seems fairly NF

Brad Pitt's been in the news a lot lately, which is one of those weird things that always seems to happen when a celebrity is about to come out with a movie. Hmmm.
He's primarily been trying to dig himself out of the hole that his words got him into in an interview with Parade magazine where he supposedly says things about his life (when he was with Jennifer Aniston) being dull and the marriage being faked.
So, to spice it up, he went and hooked up with Angelina Jolie...which is definitely a good way to spice up one's life, it seems like. Kid-collecting fetish or no.
But then there's this quote from his appearance on Ellen:
“I’ve said that we would not be getting married until everyone in this county had the right to get married…We live in this great country that is about freedom. It is defined by our freedom and equality and yet we allow this discrimination to go on everyday and that’s not what we’re about.”
Quite a few people suggested that Pitt is an ESFP on a previous post. These would seem to be good contraindications of that:
- hiding out by himself on the couch with a joint (ESFP would have a large pizza and a quart of Haagen-Daaz, plus friends)
- being totally bored with himself and his marriage, AND claiming it was all his fault, not Jen's (ESFP's are the life of the party)
- making a more interesting life by becoming a tribal leader of little Pitt-Jolie's (ESFP's like kids, but the passion for family Brad has is very different)
- fighting against what is still the majority opinion on gay marriage, based on his principles (totally not worth fighting about, says the ESFP - where are we going for dinner?)
Those seem to be much more indicative of an _NF_. The NF's, because of their strong iNtuitive and analytic side as well as being Feelers, tend to place meaning on everything and have staunch principles that they will fight for vehemently, even to the point of doing so irrationaly.
An _S_P type is not going to care so much about the principles, especially to the point of living them out consistently for many years. Not that SP's don't or can't have principles, but they have a much more literal, moment-to-moment existence and tend to take things at face value.
My hypothesis is that Brad, being an _NF_, was getting bored because an iNtuitive needs some deep, meaningful conversation on a regular basis. Jen, who probably is ESFP, was likely giving him plenty of conversation, but all of it superflous.
So upon meeting Angie (INFJ), boom! There was passion, connection, and philosophical conversations about things like marriage equality.
This is one more great example of why opposites attract, but they typically do not last. Never seek to be made whole in the areas you are weak, through the strengths of your romantic partner. Only when you are balanced as an individual, and strengthen your own weaknesses, can you truly have a healthy relationship.
With balance comes the ability to deal with all types of people, all personalities, all brain types. But - Nature is still the foundation, and long-term happiness (or in-the-moment happiness, for many _S_P's) will be much more readily realized through a relationship rooted in brain type similarities, rather than differences.
